Cannot Open ComicTagger

I've been using this program for a little over a month now, and I absolutely love it. However, I can no longer open it! It's quite a shame, as I was just getting into a groove of efficiently sorting through my massive amounts of digital comics to get them tagged.

I'm using version 1.19 on Windows 7 (installed via the .exe), and it just suddenly quite working for me a couple of days ago. I've uninstalled, rebooted, installed an older version, and nothing I've tried has worked. I'm about to see if the Source code works, but that involves installing a bit of extra stuff before I can actually try it out. I didn't uninstall or install any other programs between when ComicTagger was working and stopped.

I realize this is rather vague, but this is legitimately as far as my understanding goes with the problem. When I try to open the program, the black dialog box flashes and then disappears. Sometimes you can catch glimpses of the text (https://i.servimg.com/u/f58/18/60/64/19/vlcsna10.jpg).

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I'd love to continue using this amazing program!

Complete guess but perhaps your cache/dbase has become corrupt. It is entirely possibly an uninstall wont remove all that and when you reinstall you would reuse same cache and see the same problem.

Try to make sure everything is gone or quickly test the theory by installing and running as a different user

anomander, thank you! I created a second profile, and it ended up working in that one. Turns out there was a few hundred megs of stuff floating around in my AppData from the previous installs. One deleted folder and a reinstall later, and I'm back in business!
