online search from command line without needing filename

I would like the option to perform an online metadata search without needing to specify a filename.

You can do this already.  Have a look at the wiki page on the CLI usage here:
https://code.google.com/p/comictagger/wiki/UserGuide#CLI_User_Guide


The "-m" option is what you want.  For example:

Wasn't the request that you not have to specify a filename? Seems like the -m lets you provide the meta manually rather than trying to obtain from the file, but AFAIK it needs the archive specified, so it can do its processing (processing existing meta, cover matching, etc).
