v0.9.2 beta - No matches found

After double-checking that the volume number, issue number, year, and series are all inputted correctly, I still get "No matches found" sometimes when doing Auto-Select. Think this might be a bug, because it keeps happening.

EDIT: Okay, I see what the problem is. If I include a year in the filename that matches the year that the comic began in, then the comic won't get recognized if that specific issue came after the year the comic began. For example, I'm editing Alpha Flight volume 2, which launched in 1997. But the series lasted for twenty issues, so longer than 1997. So advice to people, don't include a year in the title unless you're searching for annuals.

When the filename is parsed, and it finds a year, ComicTagger's marking it as the year of publication of the issue, and the not the year the series commenced.

I went with this scheme because it seems to be the standard, more or less, of scene-named files.

I would love to make the filename parser better, so please feel free to list out your existing filenames that fail, and I will see what I can do to accommodate them in the parser, or at least explain why it won't work.

No, that's fine, and you're right -- the mistake was really on my end. Once I found out what I was doing wrong, I just wanted to post this up so that others who may be doing the same thing will be able to figure it out easily.

To me, it seems like the best way to name the files is to go Series Volume Issue and only use year for annuals. Although annuals are a whole other game -- because all the different naming conventions the publishers have used over the years, ComicVine has them all over the place. Avengers Annual 1999 doesn't exist for example, it's listed under Avengers 1999.
